Love this place. I call in take out orders atleast once a month. I love being able to call in our orders, run in and grab it on my way home from work, and have hot freash Thai at home! Maryville is so lucky to have this place!
“Great Service, Good Food” – Sep 5, 2012 – Watkinsdts
The waiter was very attentive–it was quiet and their menu has authentic Thai as well as a sushi bar. Food was good for East Tennessee–there are no other Thai restaurants in the area I am aware of. Good quality ingredients. I will go back.
“Still the best Oriental around” – Jul 27, 2012 – EmmiD
Another summer and another opportunity to visit Lemon Grass. In 2 trips we chose from a variety of sushi to entrees. All was excellent, but favs remain the spring cheese roll appetizer, masaman chicken, teriyaki chicken, avocado cucumber soup, hot spicy soup, philadelphia & calif. sushi rolls, and jasmine sticky rice. Fresh and vivd flavors.

We hadn’t been to Lemon Grass in a while since moving from Maryville, we went last week and I forgot how incredible it was. My husband loves the sushi and I love Thai….. I get the cashew nut with chicken… over rice…. I crave it!!!! My friend had the drunken noodle and now I have one problem…. I won’t know which one to get next time! We can’t wait to go back next week… we live in Knoxville and have been to all the restaurants up here (ie… taste of Thai etc….) and hands down Lemon Grass is the best!!!!
“THE place for Thai food in the area” – May 17, 2012 Joy-traveler
You would think you were in Thailand when visiting this restaurant. Their food is authentic and they go to great lengths to use great ingredients. The shrimp soup is fabulous, the salmon panang is unbelievable, and the pad thai is yummy. I don’t think I’ve had a bad meal here ever. AND, they have a sushi bar that’s great too. What’s not to like about it except the parking, which is not that great. But it’s worth it.
“Never let’s me down” – May 6, 2012 – waterdogooder
Lemon Grass is a white table cloth experience. Although not impressive from the outside that all changed once you enter. You enter the small space and are taken to your table. Upon seating the server places the napkin in your lap and now you can begin browsing the extensive menu.
Lemon Grass served both sushi and Thai food. I love the yellow curry and the chicken massaman! I don’t usually eat sushi but people I have been with do and they love it. I don’t think it’s on the menu but ask about the Lucy Roll. It was created by a server and is one of the only rolls I will eat.
The great thing about Lemon Grass is that you can go for a romantic date or a casual night with friends. And the food or service has never dissappointed me!

“Great Ambiance, Excellent Food” – Jan 26, 2012 – Worldtraveler140
The Lemon Grass is a Thai restaurant and Sushi bar on West Alexander Blvd (321) and Watkins Blvd. The food is excellent as is the Sushi. My daughter is vegetarian and I eat a regular diet so they deal with both choices every time we go there which is a minimum of 2 or 3 times a month. Any dish on the menu can be made with Tofu as a substitute for the meat, fish or chicken.
We are always warmly greeted and seated in a location we like. All the wait staff are great. They know pretty much what we like and how we like it served. It feels good to be recognized when you go some place.
They have a fantastic vegetarian roll that we have for an appetizer. On Sat nights, you can buy a bottle of wine up to $40 for half price. They also have a partnership menu for $19.95 for two. you can choose one appetizer, or soup or dessert and two entrees. There are a good number of entrees to provide a nice choice.
The daily menu is also delicious. Every other week or two they’ll have a dinner special which is not on the regular menu and is always excellent. It often sells out early.
All in all, if you like Asian food, you can’t go wrong by trying Lemon Grass.
